Favorite Authors: Kelly Armstrong: One of the few examples of literature featuring supernatural characters in a modern setting that I actually like. Plus she features female leading characters that are strong and independent but still feminine. That's hot.

Steven Brust: How can you not like books about a lovable assassin and his wise cracking flying rodent familiar? Funny, charming books. Especially the early Jhereg books.

Neal Gaimen: I love the way he makes me feel like I am rediscovering the fairy tales I loved as a child, yet there is a depth of character and richness of detail that appeals to a more adult reader as well.

David Gemmel: Gemmel makes me want to read the history his novels are based on. I like history but I don't often read it for pleasure. He compels me to do it more.

Robin Hobb: Nobody has ever created characters that I related to more or loved as much as the ones in her 3 trilogy set. Their trials were my trials, their heartaches mine, I loved as they loved and grieved as they grieved.

George R.R. Martin: His Song of Ice and fire is some of the finest writing I have ever seen. In any genre. Plus he edited and contributed to the Wild Card series which is a phenomenal series about what the world might be like if people really had super powers. It makes you rethink every comic you have ever read.

Will Shetterly. I think most of his books are just pretty good, but one of them, Witchblood is one of my favorite books ever. All 200 pages of it. If I ever win the lottery I'm going to try to pay Shetterly to write that promised sequel.

Neal Stephenson: Neal writes the only Cyberpunk I truly love. Others have written stuff I like. This I love. Plus Hiro Protagonist is the greatest name ever.

Mark Twain: The great American novelist and one of the funniest men ever.

Andrew Vachss: Nobody writes grittier crime fiction or better dialouge than Vachss. Plus he uses his writing to fund his real passion. Protecting abused and exploited children. Very cool.

Oscar Wilde: Even if he had not written one of the greatest English novels and one of my favorite plays I would love him just for the quotes. The man was an absolute genuis.

Happy Birthday Alyak
I can't believe she is 21. I guess time really does fly. If you haven't already, go wish a happy birthday.

Other than that things are going well. Hope the same is true for all of you.
