Something I wrote one day:
†IN THE BEGINNING THERE WAS NOTHING AND THE NOTHING WAS NEITHER GOOD NOR EVIL BUT A BALANCE OF BOTH. AND THE NOTHING WAS HAPPY. BUT LIFE WAS GROWING DEEP IN THE PIT OF THE NOTHING.LIKE A TUMOR AND THE NOTHING WAS AFRAID OF LIFE BECAUSE LIFE WAS CONFUSING AND PAINFUL. BUT THE LITTLE BALL OF LIFE KEPT GROWING AND GROWING AND THE NOTHING WAS SAD AND DEPRESSED BECAUSE LIFE WAS HURTING IT DEEP IN THE PIT OF IT'S DARKNESS. SO, THE NOTHING STARTED TO SQUEEZE LIFE TO MAKE IT SMALLER IN THE HOPES THAT LIFE WOULD DIE AND GO AWAY AND LEAVE THE NOTHING ALONE IN IT'S DARKNESS. BUT LIFE GOT ANGRY AT THIS OPPRESSION AND INSTEAD OF DYING IT EXPLODED AND KILLED THE NOTHING AND SPREAD LIFE OUT TO ALL THE PLACES THE NOTHING USED TO BE. THE BALANCE WAS GONE AND GOOD AND EVIL WOULD STRIVE FOR ALL ETERNITY TO FIND A WAY BACK TO EACH OTHER AND THE BALANCE OF THE NOTHING.-ninadelamorte, September 29,2006†

Rainy days and wicked nights....
Creepy house aside, I do love living in Portland.
It could rain everyday and I wouldn't mind a bit but someone sold me on this place without telling me it really mostly rains in the winter and the summer is pretty dry.
Anyways, still looking for work. I've got some temp stuff going but it's not enough but then again is it ever enough?
I've started selling some of the vegan foods I make. Some would say, "It's about freaking time!" Well, I wasn't so sure I wanted to get back into the food biz. But honestly aside from creating art and making music cooking is something that really is a joy for me, so I might as well make money at it too.
I've been cooking since I was about 11 years old and honestly, I'm quite good at it.
I sold my camera a few months ago and I really miss it. Spring is popping up every where and I can only watch it come and go. I should break out my art stuff and do some sketching and maybe a few water colors. Money stress is so not helping the creative process.
So, I'm sitting in a cafe watching the cars go by. A light rain falling down. People coming and going. The smell of coffee. The sound of many conversations blending into one low wave of sound filling my senses to almost overkill.
I love this town.

Glad to here you are enjoying it. If I can ever get my wife to move away from here Portland is one of the areas that I'd like to try.
I love the rain. Especially thunderstorms. Or the early spring rains that wash away all the dirt of winter.

If you love cooking, it makes sense to me to try to make money at it. Work doesn't feel so much like work when you love what you're doing.
