About Me: Call me Ptera. As in pteradactyl. It's shorter.

These things always make people look pompus, almost no matter what is said. They irk me, but I guess there's nothing to do about that.

I could give you the typical A/S/L thing that is the first thing most random AIM people ask, and that always gets them blocked when the pm me....but you can see that for yourself.

I think I was born several hundred years too late.

Body Alterations: Six holes in my left ear and two in my right, and one in my right nostril, as well as a surface piercing in my chest. A triskelle tattoo on my left heel that has martial arts significance, and two head tattoos that don't match. I'm in the process of trying to get those fixed.
Easter Egg Emotes: .

Future plans: Stealing away with Eyanosa to some new location. (check!)

One more year of teaching high school. (check!)

Massage school/license. (check!)

Looks like I need to make some new plans....

Dying my hair purple again.

Trying to find a living history job.
Stuff that makes me smile: Eyanosa. Shiny stuff. Boobs. Doesn't matter if they're on guys or girls. The smell of leather.
Celtic stuff. Nag Champa. Exotic hair. Cats.
Gaiaonline. Grammar. WoW. More stuff will appear, as I think of it.
I hate...: Dumb drivers. Willful ignorance.
Horrible grammar/chatspeak. Backstabers. Too many quotes in forums. When your really have to pee...and you sneeze. People who don't knock on the bathroom door before coming in.
Holy crap, wishlist!: ya know, this is the first of these I've ever done!

I'm a fan of OT...and have stayed several times over the past weeks...but you're right, making it mandatory suddenly makes it suck.

I stayed most days that voluntary was offered...but mandatory...ick.

It should only be for a week, though, as opposed to the THREE MONTHS of it last year.

I did get a dollar raise recently, with the promotion, and OT is time and a half, which is nice.

At least you get paid for it - the thing that used to really rile me was when the bank I used to work for looked funny at people arriving for 9a and leaving at 6am, and then being told you weren;t doign enough. Unpaid 'moral' overtime pissed me off no end. It sucks. And Mandatory is only one level of suckiness above that

hah...yeah.  Teachers get a lot of that too...there were many days of showing up at 5:30a, leaving school at 7p, and doing work at home till 10 or so...of course un-paid.

Being paid is good.

I enjoy it when it's optional....but when it isn't.

And last year it went on for 3+ months....

Does it at least pay enough to be worth getting the extra dough?

Yeah.  I'm getting 10.50 regular time, and of course, time and a half for over.
