jury duty calls
fuck my life.

I have jury duty tomorrow.
$17 for the day.
Are you fucking kidding me?

Who knows some good ways to get out of it, so
I only have to go tomorrow? I have thought of:
I'm racist, I'm sexist, I know someone involved,
I cant/wont pay attention, jury nullification...

Yeah that's not too bad. When I went I was there till friggin 5pm AND I was chosen. So I had to come back the next day just to sit in in a room for 2 hours and then get told they settled. Assholes haha.

i went in the lowest cut shirt that i had, with obnoxious
white glasses on and showed all my tattoos.

after three hours of waiting and answering questions,
i wasnt chosen! yay!

luckily after three hours of waiting and answering
questions, i wasnt chosen. but i think the trial was
only today and tomorrow anyway. i am just glad
that i am out of there and i dont have to worry about
it for another 2 years!

The case I got was very interesting; it was a rape and murder case, but because I was completely honest and said that men are more capable of being a rapist, they didn't call me. It took 4 days for them to reject me, which sucked.

thats rad. i wouldnt mind an interesting case like that.
but i would never be able to afford living off $17-$49
per day. luckily i wasnt chosen after 3 hours of waiting
and answering some stupid fucking questions.

2. and/or got paid more by the court
3. i didnt have the attention span of a gnat
4. the case was interesting, i agree

it always amuses me how little jurors get paid to miss their real paying jobs... seriously, seventeen bucks might cover my lunch but that's about it! hahah

granted, if i had nothing better to do, I agree with Jay- a super interesting case might be kinda fun ^_^
