I don't mean to be inpatient, but honestly, how long has this event been in the planning stages? Delays cost people money, and might cause some people not to be able to attend as well. It works both ways.

That is true. Anyone who knows me in real life knows that I have an abundance of patience.

Honestly, since there has been discussion about this event happening on DN for at least 6 months, I was under the impression that the planning was pretty much all done and all that needed to be done was to set the date. I was wrong...I'll admit that, but that was my impression. I have been waiting patiently since the first discussions about this event were posted.

From a business perspective, I also need to keep a weekend free on my calendar. I already have a large project the weekend BEFORE the possible DN event, and I even have bookings into next year.

I've also resigned myself to the fact that I'm likely not going to be able to use my Air Miles plan to get there, as the plan I use has limited seats that are sold out sometimes a year in advance....so I'll just have to start saving my money now!! I was hoping, cause it's damn expensive to fly anywhere from the middle of Canada.

Anyways, the short answer is, I was wrong about the DN event being further along in planning (as so nicely pointed out). But I do feel that I have to explain why having a confirmed date was so important to me, even this far in advance. I hope you understand.

'Tis true. He always has an abundance of patience with me (especially when we're shooting or I'm trying to pick a meal )

We'll be planning this til the date comes... I'm sure.

We had the date set, but when looking for a venue ... we got kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place.

I really don't want it on Sunday ... but it looks like we have no choice.
