1. I don't buy your story about "not knowing your parent company would pull rank, and go with their favourite". If it's your company's data, and the function's going on your company extranet, you could be fired for having that little control over or that little knowledge of how your data's being handled. Truth please. Oh, but I don't blame your or fault you for anything. It's my fault for letting friendships and trust leak into business. No I'm not being sarcastic at all.

2. If you need my help setting up something as relatively straightforward as MSN, you have to understand why I have no faith whatsoever in your solemn vow to learn XHTML/CSS. You've had 5 years since we started doing database integration and you still you're still phobic of ASP/VBScript. You're "too busy" to even spend 3 minutes managing someone's e-mail account, so expecting you to spend the time to read about new programming techniques requires a level of optimism even I can't muster. I've said before that I don't have any trouble taking on every single new project and technology that comes our way, it's the fake promise that you'll learn what's needed so you can help that annoys me. And I can't teach you; I'm "too busy".

While I appreciate the free concert tix, movie premiere shit, and all the other extra SWAG I recieve. I am not stupid enough to not see through it all. Free stuff DOES NOT make up for crappy pay, bad hours, no retirement plan, no health care. You think bribing us with stupid jackets and letting us see King Kong a week early matters? I would rather be able to go to the damn doctor when I get sick, and know that I can pay my bills.
