Renzor's Ghosts I-IV has to be the best thing he has put out in a long long time.

You can sample it on the ghosts.nin.com site.

While I really hated Year Zero this new release of material despite being instrumental sounds great.

I need to get this but I´m not a fan of downloading.

Loved the Year Zero album, btw. Got me interested in the band again after maybe six years of ignoring them...

You can order the album from the site and get downloads instantly to have while you wait for the cds to arrive.

I don´t have/use Paypal or whatever.

I really, REALLY, dislike downloading. I´d rather wait for the 2CD. A friend of mine has it and offered to burn it for me. I said it´s ok but I won´t be holding my breath.

Yes, I practically still live in the 1980s.

I like cds too which is why I ordered the 2CD set.

Got my 2CD copy earlier today at a recordstore here in Helsinki. They already had it last week but nobody told me!

Sounds very interesting but I wish they´d put more of the ambient / chillout stuff on it instead of the "hey look what cool noise this weird fx pedal makes" kind of material...

It pained me to listen to it. I had to delete it. I was embarassed to have it on my hard drive. Akira Yamoaka does it so much better.

Trent has yet more new material out, just heard a clip of a new song called Discipline. And it has vocals too!

The guy must have found his creativity again, no more waiting five years for a new album I guess...

Sorry, but i thought Ghosts I-IV was really useless. The title is in itself ironic, it feels like you're listening to ghosts of what could be songs or demos. The sound is good, we can see he is reaching something there but we have no idea what, he's just experimenting and i think he should have let those tracks for fans on the site cause it's really not worth buying.
My favorite album of NIN is The downward spiral. The fragile was good too but after that he started to go downhill, using the same kinds of melodies.

Well of course The Downward Spiral is his best album. No doubt about it. Ghosts is a cool experiment but it´s far from his best. Got it on vinyl yesterday, it´s on FOUR LP:s and the packaging is damn heavy.
