Jarhead. I thought the movie blew. It tried to be convoluted and higher in though processes than it needed to be. blah.

Kill Bill Vol. 2~

I thought it definitely tied up the story. I liked it a LOT. I want to watch them both back to back.

Last night I watched Born Into Brothels and Bill Morrison's Decasia, both of which I was satisfied with.

Monster in Law.

Yes, I know. It was on the tele while I was taking a break from some artwork. Got sucked in. Then again.....it had Michael Varatan from Alias.

A history of violence. I loved it. It required a bit of patience to get into, but once I got into it I was hooked.

i dunno if you'd count it as a movie but i just watched the Michel Gondry video collection. the man is amazing. for anybody who doesnt know, he directed Eternal Sunshing of the Spotless Mind and he's done a lot of Bjork's videos, a few for the White Stripes, Chemical Bros, Massive Attack, Foo Fighters, & quite a few others. anyway, he just has a way of translating sounds into visual representations like nobody else i've ever seen. anyone who hasn't seen this collection needs to check it out immediately...

Last night I checked out V for Vendetta. I thought it was great. I think it was pretty well balanced in pratically every aspect. If you want brutal check out The Hills Have Eyes remake. There's some great deaths and no mercy.

It's not really a movie. But I just got the Uncensored version of Comedy Central's Roast of Pam Anderson.

It was fucking hilarious. Courtney Love was all drugged out, Andy Dick groped Pam, then tried to give Tommy Lee a blow job. Plus, I love Sarah Silverman, she was great.

Ichi the Killer - this movie is greater every time I see it. The blood is fantastic, it's wicked gory, the plot is interesting....love it.

So I finally saw Why We Fight last week. Interesting enough and put together well, although I felt like it ultimately didn't really tell me anything I didn't already know, and that it's unfortunately the kind of movie that will never be seen by the exact people who need to see it most - even though it went to studious lengths to present a more balanced picture than Moore/most Bush bashing docs by including interviews with William Kristol, John McCain, etc.

Memoirs of a Geisha. Loved the book and I expected more from the movie. It had great costumes and all but the movie was just kinda blah. You're better off reading the book.
