we should sticky this thread up top to keep it going strong. just post the most recent movie you watched with a lil review about it..then rate it 1 to 10..simple?

i just watched "Death Tunnel", it seemed like they really really tried way to hard to make this suspenseful. i mean ok the story was typical "prank gone wrong" set up and the gore was very lacking. it was a good idea on paper but this is what i hate about new suspense/horror movies, they focus on hot chicks, sex, drugs, and stupid humor. THATS WHY HOSTILE BLEW ASS! god that movie had so much potential to be fucking brutal and it was jay and silent bob meet scooby doo with some blood. but yeah i guess watch it once to get it over with cuz its not a awfull movie, i just dont recomennd buying it at all. Ide say the movie was a 4 out of 10 nothing to great happend in it to open my eyes.

New suspense/ horror movie. Shit, they've been focusing on T&A since the first Friday The 13th movie. I just watched Saw II and though it was built up by friends as being the must see movie of last year for a horror fan it was more of the same really. I did like that the plot was different and kept you guessing but the gore factor was down from the first as well as many of the scenes that made me cringe in the first one.

I've started watching more Japanese Horror and foriegn horror films. The grudge (american) was good, as was the ring because they just re-made the movies with american actors, but I still preferred Ringu and Ju-On. I've seen Dark Water but not the hollywood remake and many tell me to stay away from it. The Japanese directors like to build suspense and make shit hard to understand to up the surprise factor.

Japanese horror is awesome. If you haven't seen the following JapHorror movies, check em out: Shikoku, Ichi the Killer, The Audition, Eko Eko Azarak 1-3, A Tale of Two Sisters. I've got more on a list somewhere, when I find it I'll post what's on it.

As for my review, I'll do HOuse of Flying Daggers since that's one of 3543753 movies I watched yesterday.

This had been my first time watching the movie. I'd been wanting to see it for a long time, and since I was sick and it was on, I decided it was the best time. I'm so glad I did. It was an amazing movie. Great acting, great fight scenes....BEAUTIFUL fight scenes, really. Everything flowed so well. I liked the story, and the characters were all interesting.

i just watched "The Jackhammer Massacre"

it was.......good. the quility of the picture was AWFUL, i felt as if i was watching a handy cam shoot a few friends for film class. the gore scenes were great, kinda original story to i liked certian parts of it a lot. the ending was ok up till the last second. if you love cheesey horror full of gore and blood then watch it you will love it! "ALSO porn stars racheal and rob rotten are in it so that was AWSOME seeing racheal rotten strewn across a white leapard chair doing meth naked...made me a happy man

6 out of 10 just for shitty film quality!

I just saw "The Corpse Bride", I like Tim Burton as a director, he has had a couple of near misses but normally they are very entertaining. I liked TCB and plan to add it to my DVD collection soon. The story and animation were excellent, more so even then The Nightmare Before Christmas and James And The Giant Peach. On the DVD there is an extra gem, you can play the movie without voice and listen to some good orchestra production by Danny Elfman throughout the play. That alone is worth a look and listen.

I just finished watching National Treasure, SpaceBalls, Tin Cup and The Sting.... and now Im watching spaceballs again... I watch a lot of movies.

first one is fun, and good... as long as you have some suspension of disbelief.

second one is...well... Mel Brooks

third one sucks, but I like it anway.

the Sting is one of the best films in american cinema.... too bad robert redford is in it... still wonderful.

ok so last night i watched "Wal mart - the high cost of low prices" and "MST3K - The magic voyage of sinbad"

Wal-Mart - Thi high cost of low prices, it was ok i mean yeah i knew it was going to be super biased and one sided i didnt know they were gonna push it as far as they did though, there were times when i was like "poor wal mart always being picked on" so i think they came on to strong for some of the documentary.

MST3K - The magic voyage of sinbad, Such a let down, ive been watching fanastic episodes one after another of mst3k and this was a flop in my book, only a few times did there jokes actually make me laugh. i was really sad after watching this...they let me down ::tear::

The last few movies I watched.

MirrorMask- visually brilliant. my hubby fell asleep during it, but I liked it
Pauly Shore is Dead- worth seeing just for the fact that EVERYONE makes a cameo in this film
RENT- I liked it, but the play was better (I have a RENT tattoo, so I may be sorta biased)

I love that movie. Fucking amazing.

I saw Running Scared yesterday. It was extremely violent and had lots of scenes which showed blood splashing out on people's faces who shot other people, and some guys nuts got blown off haha. It had a great plot though, although I have to say the end was a little eh. There were a few great plot twists and a few pretty disturbing scenes.

I give it a 9 out of 10.

Anyone else see it?

Last movie I saw was 'The Matador' in the theaters. I just got my box set of 'Battle Royale' and 'Battle Royale II' a couple of weeks ago and have been trying to find time to watch them. Work, school, wife and documentary are taking way too much of my time at them moment.

I watched 40 Year Old Virgin. Well, half of it anyway. Then I yawned and turned it off because it wasn't funny. At all.
